What it means landscape? the complete answer is something that i ignore but, i know with certainty that it has broken with the concept of "extension of land from a view point." Clearly the landshap the first term defined in XVI century idea wich the Dutch painters of the era describes as a region or tract of land has changed to adapt to the demands of our days but, what is it extension? Four decades after this presentation with paint, outlines the potential of the word and start talking not only about an area of land or a region, it start to talk about a image that represent, which indicates a difference between definition of a space, then the artistic sense until arrive to talk about a reality.
What is the reality of the landscape? the one that represents an existing or the one wich presents a different space from one taht we know, probably both and more.
This discussion of the meaning is majestically in the photography may well represent a seen or to have the option of creating a new place made from the reality, possibly causing a bidimensional space which is also reflected the perception of the environment, experience eye and hand capturing. Then, the photography proposes a space with no competition: the landscape through the camera, the detail or the generality of this extension of land and finally, the result of an amalgam of events and factors that give a new meaning and substance to a landscape.
This is my definition, these are my landscapes, I call it: LANDSCAPES STRANGE.
